As a native I want to gatekeep this place however I want it to continue to be around for many more years to come. I've been coming to this wonderful place since I was Kid. They have the best torta cubana (Mexican interpretation) I always get an agua fresca from them their piña is always fresh, service is fast and always friendly due expect them to be busy especially around lunch time. Ambiance is a wonderful hole in the wall with a small seating space but they play the music that reminds me of my dad's playlist.

Torta de milanesa de res and Torta de desebrada is great here. The service is solid, with a wait time of 20 minutes after you place your order, seating is limited. Agua Fresca de melon was delicious. The only disappointment was the carne asada burrito I ordered to go to eat later, and when I did, I noted the meat quality was poor compared to other places. Also, the green and red salsas are okay, not the best.

I've had both the carnitas torta and the milanesa de res and both are just AMAZING. The sandwiches are pricey but for the huge portion you get, it's totally worth it!! Last time I went I wanted a horchata but they only had the strawberry agua fresca which they gave me a of. A+, would get for a refreshing fruity treat! Call ahead to order and pick up in fifteen minutes to save time - they get super busy during meal times (for good reason) and it's usually difficult to find parking if you drive. Otherwise accessible by bus or walking in the mission district.

Came here on a Saturday night and luckily beat the rush! Their menu is quite extensive but we tried the torta res/milanesa. $17 for a nice hefty sandwich. Very tasty! Nice crunch yet softness from the bread, loved the texture of the meat and how it was cooked as well as all the fixings inside the sandwich. There's a small area for seating that they provide two hot sauces. Fun little stop, I'd be interested to come back and try a different torta next time!

Yummy Mexican tortas! They're pricey but that's expected in SF. We waited about 25 mins for them to be ready. The tortas tasted just like the ones I had in Mexico back in March, #authentic. I'll be back next time I'm craving a torta :)

Been going to their Richmond location since I was a kid and the quality in their SF location did not change! Such a massive and filling torta--I recommend sharing! The bestest mostest consistent torta you can have!

I have been going to this place since I was little and it has not changed! Well, they remodeled which they did an amazing job a few years ago. The people there get so busy but are always so kind to me. The tortas are my absolute favorite! They give you your moneys worth. I'm so happy that they didn't skip out on portions over the years as it grew in popularity. It is pricy but man is it worth it. I also love that they have fresh aguas. I love that they have fresh grapefruit and beets, my go to. The place is small but definitely has some sitting space inside in the back. I can never say anything bad and I'm so happy that they survived Covid and the growing change on 24th.

Having been to my fair share of eateries, Tortas Los Picudos stands out in a league of its own. The Cubano with everything? An absolute delight. There's something about the melding of flavors and the toasted bread that sings a culinary symphony in my mouth every single time. Not to be outdone, their chorizo and eggs have quickly become one of my go-to choices for a hearty, savory lunch. A heads-up for first-timers: the wait can sometimes stretch a bit, but believe me when I say that patience is a virtue here. Every bite is a testament that good things come to those who wait. Highly recommended for anyone looking to elevate their sandwich game!

If you're feeling hungry, don't know what to get, and in the mood for anything, get the cubana torta with everything. It literally has everything. Beef ham sausage tomatoes mayo Swiss cheese jalepeno, add the avocado because, why not you only live once. This torta sandwich is so hefty I think in hindsight I should have left the other half for lunch the next day, but yeah, I didn't. I ate it all, it's cinco de mayo and I'm about to get some margaritas. No ragrets Eating this cubana torta was a pretty difficult thing to do in public, it's so large and stuffed with ingredients, there is literally no clean and well mannered way to eat this. I think definitely not a 'first date' food unless you just met your date on tinder and are into some messy messy things. That or you've known your partner for so long you could identify their farts. Salsas red and green were delicious and the red gave a nice kick to the taste buds, literally a few beads of sweat are coming down my forehead as I type this. Restaurant is passable clean, dining room is a bit in the stuffier side and may be difficult to sit comfortably. Service is nice and friendly Would I come back? Yes I would indeed, would I make some important life choices by choosing a less messy torta, yes probably. Do note tho, $18bucks out the door for a torta cubana, so on the pricier side of a sandwich, but given the amount of meats and fresh made ingredients, I'd say worth it.
